Mission
Jam River is an Italian site devoted to Pearl Jam. It was created to allow all
its worldwide users to listen and/or watch audience recordings made by Pearl
Jam fans for free.
In this tracker only audience recordings sharing is allowed. Official material
available from shops or online cannot be shared on Jam River.
Please buy Pearl Jam albums and dvds in stores or from the Ten
Club store.
Do not sell concerts you downloaded from this tracker, nor buy them on Ebay
or anywhere else. Instead, exchange them with the band fans for free. Do not
give money to anybody nor commit a crime buying or selling unofficial material.
Do not buy anything and denounce! Let’s keep Pearl Jam alive buying their
official recordings!
Members
Anybody can sign up and be a Jam River member as long as you respect the following
rules:
1. On Jam River it is allowed to communicate exclusively in English. Please
do not write in any other language or we’ll cancel your post. If you want
to write using other languages, please make sure you add and English translation
along with it.
2. To be an active Jam River member it is necessary to keep a certain ratio
which is the difference between uploaded and downloaded data. And this ratio
has to be at least of 51%. E.g. if you download 1 GB you’ll have to upload
at least 510 MB. You can check your ratio in the home page.
If your ratio has been less than 51% for 2 weeks you will get a notice. Since
the notice you have 2 weeks of time to bring your ratio back to the 51% “tolerance
value”. If you don’t do it you’ll be banned. Users with a
suspicious behaviour (ratio lower than 51% or ratio between downloaded and uploaded
data higher than 5 GB, multiple accounts) are likely to be banned with no notice.
If you have been banned please don’t try to contact the Staff
unless you’ve been clearly banned by mistake.
Suggestions to improve your ratio:
a. Set a limit to your downloading speed in order to keep your ratio higher
than 51%. E.g. if you upload a torrent at 30 kbs you should keep the downloading
speed up to 50kbs. Please check your ratio regularly, to avoid nasty surprises.
b. To increase your ratio keep sharing what you've downloaded if there are still
leechers.
c. Check the orphan
torrents page to let leechers complete their downloads.
d. Share the material you have according to the request
board or to what you think users could be interested in.
e. Make a donation. Jam River thanks those who contribute to the managing expenses
of the site by giving GBs (1 GB per euro donated)
Uploaders
Uploaders
are special members who got the right to be the first ones to join in the trees
of the forum. You have to share at least a complete dvd and keep your ratio
of 100% to be an uploader.
Once you've finished to share your dvd, please contact the Staff
to ask that your status be changed from member to uploader.
As for members, uploaders
too are regularly controlled by the Staff. If they don’t fulfil all the
requirements, their status will be changed into member. Ex-uploaders and wannabee
uploaders will have to contact the Staff
by themselves to communicate their requirements fulfilment and ask to have their
status changed from members into uploaders.
News
The purpose of the News
section is to update users about any recent publication of audio/video material,
on a daily basis.
Your access to the News
will be facilitated by the coloured icons next to it which will indicate the
kind of access to the available material:
- green: free download
- yellow: streaming ( download of the videos through Keep
Vid )
- red: for sale (online or from shops)
The News will provide as much information as possible about any download (setlists,
lineage, links), streaming event (official material from the band channel on
youtube, pro-shots from professional channels, particular videos published by
fans on youtube or similar sites) or material for sale.
DVD Archive
The DVD Archive contains all the Pearl Jam unofficial DVDs owned by Jam River
Community. They have been classified in 18 classes according to the different
kind of
recording. They can even be viewed per
year or in chronological order through the Full
list.
The DVD Archive is not a complete guide to all of Pearl Jam audience recordings.
It’s just a way to help users find what they need on Jam River. Therefore
in the DVD Archive only dvds available in the Jam River Community are shown.
This section was created to help users choose the dvds they can get online or
through B+P. Please
help us telling about the latest audience recordings and, when possible, sharing
your copies of them.
The DVD Archive contains many artworks too. You just have to click the preview
to see the real size of the image and save it onto your PC. If an artwork is
in .doc or .pdf format we suggest you to right click it and "Save as..."
instead of trying to open it on your browser.
Registered users only are allowed to leave comments in each dvd to express their
opinions and their feelings. They can give information about the dvd lineage,
the dvd quality, possible mistakes and any other information that could be usefull
to valuate the dvds in their own totality.
Please do not use comments to ask
for torrents or B+P.
Every DVD shared on Jam River has its correspondant torrent link on its page.
Should the DVD haven't been torrented, there will be a "No related torrent"
sign, unlikely the "Cannot be torrented" one when it is not allowed
to share it online.
Lossy Or None
The Lossy Or None is an audio anthology made by Jam River; it contains almost
all audience shows and all not for sale official recordings. It's composed by
6 volumes:
- Lossy
Or None (2000-2007 Period) 20 DVDs
- Lossy
Or None II (1990-1999 Period) 17 DVDs
- Lossy
Or None III (Eddie Vedder 1989-2007 Period) 1 DVD
- Lossy
Or None IV (Demos, singles and rarities) 1 DVD
- Lossy
Or None V (Aud.) (Audience 2008-2009) 4 DVDs
- Lossy

You can check the shows in chronologic
order too.
All shows have been converted from loseless files (flac, shn, mkw, cd wave)
to constant 256/320 kbps mp3 44.100 Hz, except for shows available in lower
bitrate format only.
The Lossy Or None contains many artworks, too. You just have to click the preview
to see the real size of the image and save it on your PC.
My Collection
Each member can create his/her own Pearl Jam collection; it's sufficient to click on "My Collection" - either visible in the DVD Archive pages or in the Lossy Or None section - and add new DVDs to their own list. By clicking on "My Wishlist" you will add the DVD you're interested in, into your wishlist. It is possible to know the DVDs owners by clicking on "Owners" as to allow you to contact them directly via PM in case of private trades. Once you add 6 DVDs at least to your personal collection you'll be able to see yourself in the traders page. This page is a list of all Jam River traders ordered by the number of DVDs they own. Remember to select your nationality in your account settings otherwise you won't be able to be part of the mentioned list. An incredibly useful tool was created to help traders in order to compare their list with those of other users; that way you'll be able to notice the differences between the various lists. Your "My Collection" is accessible from your own control panel.
Torrents
A torrent is a file known by the .torrent extension and it contains the information
about the files that can be downloaded and about the trackers through which
the downloading is possible. By loading the torrents in your client you’ll
let it know what to download and where from. In the Upload
torrent page you’ll find the following information:
- Which client to use and how
- How to download a torrent
- How to create a torrent
- How to share a torrent on Jam River
- How to help sharing a torrent already available on Jam River
Before sharing a new torrent please make sure that it is not already in torrent
list. If it in the list sign yourself as a seeder.
Please do not upload more than a torrent at time and share it as long as you
can.
